This plant is a red variety of Myriophyllum which is very productive. It is a very fast grower which readily branches. The width of the plant is largely dependent on space and nitrate available. Both stem and leaves are flexible and will bend with the flow.
The plant is quite undemanding to grow given proper nutrition and remains yellow to red under all conditions. If flow is insufficient the stem will rot at different points.
It can be used very well for backgrounds and contrasts well with green plants.
