This is a very versatile plant with lanceolate or elliptical leaves, up to 1cm long. The leaves have a slight transparency. The plants grow straight up if not trimmed and light is low. It can grow in aquariums without CO2 injection.
The abundant branching leads nice, lush bushes suitable for the midground in nano aquariums. In larger aquariums it can also be used as foreground if trimmed frequently.
The correct name for the plant commercially available is Hemianthus glomeratus. This was clarified by Allen(2011). However, as several nurseries still sell this plant under the old name, we provide the plant description here.
